I have gone snowshoeing once before and I've got to say that it's something I wasn't planning on doing again. But trying to be a trooper I decided to go snowshoeing with my get fit class. Expecting to be cold, exhausted and utterly miserable, I started the snowshoeing negatively. Hopeing that 1 hour of snowshoeing would casually turn into 15 minutes I sighed and thought, "Why did Ms. phillips have to tell her we're in get fit! Now she's making us run up mountains of snow!"
We ran and ran and ran around flower lake, me awaiting and wondering if we were very getting a break. Then through the breathing and panting my friends and I began to joke around and it got easier. We finally got a break and before I knew it snowshoeing was over. At the end the guide asked why its important to do outside activities with a friend. I being a resident of surrey replied,"So creeps don't steal you away into the night" This was a good point but the guide replied," Friends can be great motivators and something you don't like can become a hobby if you have friends." That was pure truth as I had just learned that friends make a lot of things easier.
